From Sully, a mostly depressing anecdotal account of what soldiers on the ground in Iraq think of the present situation.
I post it because the last point in it, at least, is nice to hear, though it really shouldn't be as surprising as it seems.
I won't spoil it for you.

What do we want?!
[hat tip: Atrios]
This reminds me of a student protest I saw a couple of years ago at the University of Toronto.
There was a chant:
"What do we want?!"
[soft muddled mumbling]
"When do we want it?!"
"Now!"
They really said "Now!" with gusto.
My heavens
But the word YELL looks silly in capital letters. Maybe every word looks silly if you stare at it for too long.
Here: we'll try an experiment. Please stare at this word:
KITTYKNOCKERS
for several minutes, say it out loud to yourself a few times, maybe write it five or six times on a piece of paper. Did it start to look silly?
Thanks for helping out. Please post your results in the comments. 'Night. Work in the morning.

Holding strangers accountable for things that are indeed their fault
I'd like to be held accountable, not if the gentleman fails to fulfill the promise of this speech (because: how would that be my fault?), but if I fail to express disappointment in the event that he does so fail.
If I had even one reader right now, I'd ask that reader to hold me to this. Thankfully I do not. Maybe someday.
